Looks like our bear spray has recently expired… Does it mean that the capsicum is less potent? No not really, it just means that the propellant (nitrogen) may be less effective when you really need it.

When researching online, they recommend using the expired can to practice exactly how the spray works or donating it to Parks Canada for training purposes… I love Parks Canada, but somehow I don’t think they will be close by when a bear comes around. I guess we’ll be using it – but not on a crazy windy day.

Practice Run

We bought a new truck this year as the old truck might be a tad tired for our upcoming epic road trip. Here is Jeff jacking up the truck for a tire change to make sure that everything works as expected and that our second spare fits. Can’t fault the guy for being too prepared after all he did buy a knife to fight off zombies bears. (Yes we have bear spray)
