We are a blended family who takes every opportunity we get to travel the place we live in. We make many frequent camping trips around our province – Beautiful British Columbia. Many people say “you’re not camping – you’re RV’ing or glamping“. Regardless – we are getting out more, doing more and seeing more than most are.

About Our Site

The idea for this website came out of necessity – to update family and friends of our upcoming epic road trip to Alaska. After mucking around with the free hosted version of WordPress, Gladys decided that it did not meet our needs (but Jeff disagreed) and so this site and the awesome easy to remember URL was born.

A little techno babble about the site – skip this paragraph if you are not a nerd. The site is hosted at an ISP, using a 1-click install of WordPress. There are a couple of plugins used – Google Maps, and the Picasa + Google plugin, which is simply awesome as it pulls and displays the photo album from Google+. Gladys developed the site and is happy, but she isn’t too thrilled about the ISP, the site loads a tad slow – that’s because the site hosted on a “slow” 32-bit server!!! But heck, it’s $1.99 per month, please no complains. [Update 2015: It was painfully slow and I have since changed to a different ISP. Update 2017: It’s on Google Cloud! Fast and super cheap!]

About Our Photos

Most of the photographs you see on this site are taken by us – well, Gladys to be precise, but Jeff is disputing that. She is one of those people who take good pictures she but really has no idea how.. She depends mostly on the semi-automatic shooting modes on her camera.
